Overview
What we built.
The project comprised the construction of an 81-bedroom Travelodge hotel within the wider Rochester Riverside masterplan. Located directly adjacent to the high-speed railway line connecting London St Pancras, the scheme required careful coordination with rail authorities and specialist consultants throughout design and construction.
The building envelope, acoustic strategy and construction methodology were developed to respond to the unique constraints of an operational high-speed rail corridor, ensuring compliance with stringent fire, acoustic and quality standards.
Working closely with the client, design team and specialist subcontractors, MBC managed the complex interfaces associated with the railway environment while delivering a modern, comfortable hotel that meets Travelodge’s brand requirements and provides a high-quality guest experience.
