Overview
What we built.

Built on the site of the NuSwift factory on Wistons Lane, the Morrisons Elland redevelopment delivered a modern 57,000 sq ft supermarket with associated parking, servicing and public realm improvements, plus a petrol station.

The scheme has enhanced local retail provision and played a significant part in regenerating Elland town centre. The original NuSwift factory was demolished to make way for Morrisons and relocated to a new local site.

It took a 10-year fight by residents and retail chains to secure a prominent supermarket in the town. Morrisons were awarded formal planning approval by the Secretary of State in July 2013.
