Overgate Hospice Big Build
‘We are thrilled to share some exciting news about our Big Build Appeal and the future of Overgate Hospice.
After a thorough and rigorous selection process, we are delighted to announce that Marshall Construction, a local, family-owned firm based right here in Elland, has been appointed as the main contractor for our brand-new hospice! This significant milestone means we are on track to break ground on Monday 10th March, bringing us one step closer to creating a state-of-the-art facility that will provide care and comfort to our community for generations to come.
This appointment is particularly meaningful as Marshall Construction was also the main contractor responsible for building our current Inpatient Unit back in 1993. Led at the time by the late Chris Marshall, the company has a long-standing history with Overgate. Now under the leadership of Chris’s son, Simon Marshall, Marshall Construction is proud to be part of our journey once again.
Simon shared how personally significant this project is for the Marshall family, and we are incredibly proud to be working alongside a company that has been part of our story from the very beginning.’
